You always hear advertisements for foods and other products that are free of chemicals, but you do not have to be a Pool Chemicals Supplier to know how unpleasant it would be to swim in a pool that did not have any pool chemicals.  Without Swimming Pool Chemicals and other Commercial Pool Cleaning Products, the pool would quickly become overgrown with algae, and there would be a layer of green slime on its surface.  Bacteria that cause infectious diseases would also proliferate in the water.  As a swimming pool is an area of standing water, a pool without chemicals would attract mosquitoes, with all the diseases they carry.  In addition to preventing disease, the right pool chemicals can also protect your pool from wear and tear.

Which Chemicals Do You Need to Keep Your Pool Safe?

Pulsar® has all the chemicals and Swimming Pool Supplies you need to keep algae and pathogens out of your pool.  Chlorine is the most well-known pool chemical; its purpose is to kill germs in the pool.  Chlorine, a disinfectant, is the main ingredient in bleach; pools are not the only place that it is used to kill germs.  Chlorine for pools is sold in liquid and tablet form.

Another important chemical you will need to get from your Pool Chemicals Supplier is cyanuric acid.  Cyanuric acid must be used in combination with chlorine because, if you put chlorine in the pool without cyanuric acid, the chlorine will break down too quickly, before it has a chance to kill the pathogenic bacteria and the algae in the pool.  Despite the stabilizing effect of cyanuric acid, it can only make the chlorine last for so long.  You still need to test the chlorine frequently and add more chlorine and cyanuric acid when the levels are low.
