Using a restaurant sweeper during business hours is a non-intrusive way of keeping floor surfaces clean throughout the day, whether you are dealing with kitchen spills or cleaning tables and public areas. Employees can use a sweeper without the noise of a vacuum which usually signals closing time for most customers. Because it is non-electric, customers will likely not even notice it is being used, and it is a very efficient and handy tool in the kitchen, as well.

Hop Phung, owner and cook at a popular Asian restaurant, says he uses a restaurant sweeper at his location. “It is especially effective in the kitchen to keep the floor clean throughout the day in addition to mopping and sterilization. We occasionally have rice spills or flour that spills on the floor, and we can pick it all up within seconds using a sweeper.”

Using a restaurant sweeper on location makes vacuuming and mopping at the end of the business day a more efficient and easier task, as well. Another factor that makes a restaurant sweeper more versatile and easy to use than a vacuum cleaner is its capacity to fit under tables and inside booths in busy restaurants. “It’s important to keep things as clean and sterile as possible when you are dealing with selling food to the public,” says Phung. “We have made using the sweeper a mandatory part of busing tables after a customer has left. It’s so easy to use that unless we have a really messy customer, or someone with small children who spill their rice, it takes less than a minute to sweep under the tables and inside the booths.”

Increasingly popular, restaurant sweepers can be used on almost any kind of surface, whether you have hard tile floors, brick, cement or carpeting. “We try to purchase the quality brand,” says Phung. “We bought some cheaper models in the past made of plastic that did not work so well. They tended to just push stuff around on the floor, and we would have to use a broom and dustpan, which sort of defeated the whole purpose. But there are good, durable models out there, and I have found them to be a productive way to help keep my restaurant business running efficiently.”

Not only restaurants, but a variety of other retail and industrial locations prefer using non-electric sweepers, as well, due to their lightweight versatility and ease of use, including hotels, retail stores, schools and hospitals. Many people enjoy using quality brand sweepers for home use, too.
